The 7th ASCOPE Mid-Year Task Force and its asscociated meetings hosted by Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia (MME) were successfully organised from 9th - 11th August, 2023 in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Recently, from 28th to 31st May 2023, the delegation of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) visited and worked with the organizations, agencies and partners in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where PVEP is implementing Junin 2 Oil and Gas Project.

The 2023 Annual Meeting of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and SK Earthon Company (SK EO) took place on April 13th and 14th in Ha Long, Quang Ninh.

On March 10, Petrovietnam held the Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Conference to implement the oil and gas exploration and exploitation plan for 2023 and to develop mid-term strategies (2023-2025) to increase the reserve and exploitation output for the period of 2021-2025.

On March 14th, in response to the Prime Minister's call to plant 1 billion trees, the delegation of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) participated in the “Launching Ceremony of Tree-Planting” held at the Hall of the Headquarters of the People's Committee of Thuy Hai Commune and sponsored 50,000 trees for Thai Binh province.

Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) oil production reached 1 billion barrels on February 8, marking a new milestone in its 35-year development journey.

On 27th December, the Oil, Gas and Coal Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) coordinated with Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) to organize a Workshop on “Amendment and supplementation of Decree 124/2017/ND-CP regarding regulations on outward investment in oil and gas activities”.

From 2nd to 5th August 2022, the 6th Mid-year Meeting of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum (ASCOPE) Sub-Committees chaired by ASCOPE Secretary General Tran Hong Nam was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand. Attending the meeting were more than 70 members from the Southeast Asian member countries. The Petrovietnam delegation including members of the Secretariat and representatives of the Group’s Divisions participated in the Sub-Committees.

From 27th March to 2nd April 2022, the delegation of Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) led by President & CEO Tran Hong Nam and leaders of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) attended Vietnam Investment Forum and activities within the framework of “Vietnam Days” in the United Kingdom jointly organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in the UK, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the UK Department of International Trade.
