PVEP SUPPORT FRONTLINE HOSPITALS COMBATING COVID-19

In the past few days, the whole country is straining against Covid-19 which is taking place more and more complicated. In order to share difficulties and help frontline hospitals in the prevention and control of epidemics, on April 6, 2020, PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) awarded two Puritan Bennett 840 Ventilators to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases (NHTD) and the Active Resuscitation Ward - Bach Mai Hospital.

Concurrently, responding to the appeal of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Prime Minister, all PVEP employees, Subsidiaries and Joint Operating Companies unanimously contributed two days salary to support the prevention of Covid-19.

At present, PVEP Leaders and workers are not only implementing urgent solutions to cope with the sharp decline in oil prices, strive to complete the business plan in 2020, but also proactively deploy all measures to prevent and control Covid-19, minimize the risk of infection, especially not to affect the production activities in the field.

With the tradition of solidarity, PVEP always upholds the social responsibility including the health sector. In the period of 2011-2019, PVEP has funded over VND 122 billion for the construction of health stations, strengthening equipment for central and local hospitals across the country.

Speaking at the ceremony which took place in a safe area of the hospitals, PVEP Vice President Hoang Ngoc Trung expressed the sentiment and belief of all staff and employees for medical workers at the frontline, and affirmed that PVEP will always stand side by side with the people of the whole country to fight Covid-19.

PVEP support to the Active Resuscitation Ward, Bach Mai Hospital

PhD. Le Van Dung - Deputy Director of the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Head of the Active Resuscitation Ward, Bach Mai Hospital expressed gratitude to the support and timely sharing of PVEP leadership and staff. With the advanced Puritan Bennett 840 Ventilators, Covid-19 patients will be effectively and stable treated. Hospital representatives believe that the companion of PVEP and the whole community is a valuable and timely motivation for doctors and medical staff nationwide in general and Bach Mai Hospital, National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in particular, to fight and defeat Covid-19.

Due to the policy of Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, in the coming time, PVEP and its member units / projects will continue to implement social security programs, sponsor activities, hand in hand to repel Covid-19 pandemic.
