PVEP SIGNED THE COORDINATING REGULATION WITH THE BORDER GUARD COMMANDS OF BINH THUAN, BINH DINH, PHU YEN PROVINCES

On July 30, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) and the Border Guard Commands of Binh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen Provinces organized a Signing Ceremony of Coordinating Regulation on "Protecting the security and safety of petroleum activities and protecting the sovereignty, security, social order and safety in the sea border area".

Attending were Colonel Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Deputy Head of Politics, Border Guard Command; Colonel Chu Van Tan - Deputy Chief of Staff, Binh Thuan Border Guard; Colonel Nguyen Huy Thien - Deputy Chief of Staff, Phu Yen Border Guard; Colonel Tran Quoc Binh - Deputy Chief of Command, Binh Dinh Border Guard; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Khanh - Deputy Chief of Staff, Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

For PVEP, there were Dr. Dang Ngoc Quy – Vice President and other leaders from functional Divisions, Subsidiaries, and Joint Ventures of PVEP.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dang Ngoc Quy – Vice President of PVEP said that, based on the Regulation on Coordination between Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and the Command of Border Guard, PVEP signed a Regulation on Coordination with the Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in order to coordinate the work in the relevant areas more comprehensively and effectively.  Now PVEP and the Border Guard Commands of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Binh Thuan provinces officially sign the Cooperation Regulation, this is an important event, as a basis for the Parties to create the best conditions, support each other and fulfill the political tasks of each Party, prevent activities of violating safety corridors, ensuring the security and safety of oil and gas facilities, especially raising awareness for fishermen, strictly abiding by the provisions of law, contributing to firmly protect sovereignty and border security of the Fatherland.

In recent years, during the oil & gas activities of PVEP, there have been many incidents that need the coordination, support and participation of the Border Guard Command, Navy, Coast Guard and Fisheries Command.

At the ceremony, Leaders from PVEP and Border Guard Commands of each province also discussed, exchanged information and proposed solutions to implement the Regulation.

Colonel Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Deputy Chairman of Politics, High Command of the Border Guard emphasized, over the past time, the coordination between the Border Guard units and all members of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group had many innovations, went into order and brought practical results. The signing of the Coordinating Regulation between PVEP and Border Guard Commands of Binh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen continues to show the solidarity, cohesion, sharing and close coordination, making a positive contribution to preserving security, order at sea and the development of the country.

After the Regulation was promulgated, PVEP and all Border Guard Commands will create the most favorable conditions and proactively deploy specific operational coordination plans to specify tasks suitable to the situation characteristics of the units, localities and regions.
