PETROVIETNAM AND PVEP LEADERS VISIT DAI HUNG FIELD

On January 15th 2021, the delegation of Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (PVN) led by Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong - Chairman of the Board came to visit Dai Hung - 01 Platform operated by PVEP POC.

Attending the delegation were Dr. Phan Ngoc Trung – PVN Member of the Board, Ms. Nghiem Thi Thuy Lan – Chairman of PetroVietnam Trade Union, representatives from PVN functional Divisions and Bien Dong POC.

For PVEP there were Dr. Tran Hong Nam - Chairman of the Board, Mr. Vu Minh Duc – Vice President, Mr. Le Duc Tue - Director of PVEP POC.

The delegation has reviewed the work at DH-01 Platform: Technology system, central control room, marine control room, connection systems... Mr. Tang Van Dong – Head of DH-01 briefly reported on production and business results in 2020 and the living situation of employees here. Accordingly, after important contributions to oil and gas production output for many years, Dai Hung field stopped production from June 1st 2020, plugged and abandoned 3 wells (DH-1P, 2P, 3P) and have the rig repaired. After many efforts of service units and workers, the field was put in production again at 13:30 on December 2, 2020 with 05 wells. The completion of the campaign to ensure absolute safety was a great success in terms of coping with hurricanes during transportation and many other challenges due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Speaking at the meeting, PVN Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong expressed his joy when visiting and working at DH-01 Platform, an important and symbolic project of the Oil & Gas Industry. On behalf of PetroVietnam, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong emphasized: In 2020, with the double impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic and the oil price plunges, many companies in the world have been facing difficulties, even going bankrupted, but Petrovietnam is one of the few oil and gas groups with positive profits with the State budget payment of the whole Group reaching 83 trillion Dong, total profit before tax reached 17.5 trillion VND. Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong assessed that in this success of Petrovietnam, there is a great contribution from member units, including PVEP and PVEP POC.

In addition, he also praised and appreciated the hard work but full of enthusiasm as well as the ceaseless efforts of the staffs of Dai Hung Field in extremely difficult conditions and harsh at sea. Entering the year 2021, he wished the collective of staff on DH-01 rig in particular and the staffs of PVEP in general continue to be responsible and strive to successfully complete the business plan in 2021. Along with the wishes for a new year of happiness and success. Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, Chairman of PetroVietnam Trade Union Nghiem Thi Thuy Lan and leaders of PVEP/ PVEP POC presented gifts to workers on the platform. Also at the meeting, PVN Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong and Group leaders awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the campaign of plugged and abandoned wells and bringing the rig DH-01 to maintenance in 2020.

Also at the event, PVEP Chairman Tran Hong Nam also praised and congratulated PVEP POC and the DH-01 platform for successfully completing the important task in 2020, the well P&A campaign, bringing the rig to maintenance and successfully reconnecting with absolute safety. Overcoming many difficulties and challenges, successfully reconnecting and continuing to produce Dai Hung Field earlier have brought great economic benefits to PVEP, PetroVietnam and the national economy. Dr. Tran Hong Nam also deeply thanked PVN Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong and the delegation for always paying close attention and giving great encouragement to PVEP and other units to successfully complete the 2021 plan targets.

The activities of visiting and motivating workers at oil and gas projects during Lunar New Year have become a meaningful tradition of the Oil & Gas Group and PVEP. The concern and sharing of leaders with respect to officers and employees who are unable to have family reunion in the traditional holiday have been a great encouragement to be more confident and enthusiastic, help ensure the non-stop operation of oil and gas production projects during the coming Tet holiday, all for serving the development of the country's economy.
