On November 18th, PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) signed a cooperation agreement with Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) in the fields of training, human resource development, scientific research and technology transfer.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of HUMG, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Xuan Truong, President of the School Council; Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector, and representatives of the Board, Faculties and teachers.

For PVEP there were Dr. Tran Hong Nam, Chairman of the Board; Dr. Tran Quoc Viet, President & CEO and leaders from Execuvtive Board, Division/Department.

PVEP and HUMG have built up a good cooperation relationship during the past time. Many PVEP officers and leaders have learned, researched and grown up from this school. In addition, many cooperation projects between PVEP and HUMG have been deployed, promoting efficiency and bringing benefits to both sides. With the desire to improve the cooperation between the two units, PVEP and HUMG held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement.

Accordingly, the cooperation agreement will focus on improving the quality of training, scientific and technological research and developing the quality of human resources of both PVEP and HUMG in the fields of training and scientific research, technology transfer and other activities. Besides, through this cooperation will strengthen and develop the relationship between PVEP and HUMG, make use of the available resources and strengths of the two units to develop together.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, President of HUMG acknowledged the close cooperation between PVEP - HUMG during the past time and affirmed that the signing will mark a milestone in the strong, comprehensive and long-term partnership between the two parties.

On behalf of PVEP, CEO Tran Quoc Viet thanked all teachers of HUMG for their support, close cooperation and assistance to PVEP in training, researching and developing a force of leaders and experts, have many contributions to the development of PVEP in particular and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. Dr. Tran Quoc Viet hopes that after this signing ceremony, the cooperation between PVEP - HUMG will continue to develop steadily, with more achievements in the next period.

On the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20th, PVEP leaders presented flowers to congratulate all teachers of HUMG. Besides, PVEP awarded the Study Promotion Fund of HUMG with the amount of VND 100 million to support students in difficult circumstances.
