On February 27 in Hanoi, the Youth Union of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) organized a voluntary blood donation program "Xuan Hong Festival" with the slogan "Miracle of Life – Message of Love".

The program is an annual activity organized by PVEP Youth Union in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) and CIMAS Vietnam at PVEP Head Quarter.

According to statistics from NIHBT, after Lunar New Year there is always the peak of blood shortage to serve medical examination and treatment at 180 hospitals nationwide.

PVEP staffs register and test for blood donation

In order to share the difficulties of patients, PVEP Youth Union has developed a plan to implement the program "Xuan Hong Festival" in collaboration with NIHBT. The program has attracted the attention and participation of leaders and employees of PVEP and many other Units working in Charmvit Tower. This year, the number of people registered to donated blood is higher than in previous years, specifically there were about 150 people participating in the event.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the PVEP Youth Union Do The Hoang emphasized that humanitarian blood donation is not only a meaningful action to help patients, also an act of expressing moral tradition of Vietnam. The humanitarian blood donation attracts a lot of people from all around the world; this is a beautiful gesture, expressing kindness, also a responsibility for everyone.

Mr. Do The Hoang thanked the support and encouragement of PVEP's leaders, staffs and employees as well as the collective of many units and organization in Charm Vit Tower registered to participate in voluntary blood donation. Also on the occasion of the Vietname Founded Doctor's Day, February 27, Mr. Do The Hoang sent congratulations to the medical team, doctors and experts of the NIHBT.

According to the preliminary assessment of the Organizing Committee, it is expected that more than 100 blood units will be donated in this program. This amount of blood will contribute to the treatment of difficult patients.
